Can I take a phone under an Alltel service plan to a Verizon store?

My BlackBerry (NSDQ: RIMM) does not work, and I am under Alltel. I am in St. Louis, where there isn't an Alltel store anywhere near. I know Verizon (NYSE: VZ) purchased Alltel, so could I take it in there to get it looked at. I also purchased insurance, so if need be could they replace it?
