Is it possible to use a Verizon phone on an Alltel plan?

no, Verizon (NYSE: VZ) phones only work on verizon plans, if something were to happen to youre phone, how ever, you should be able to get onto a verizon plan, because i dont believe that we are sending out alltell devices for replacements, only verizon devices.

I am in the Alltel market that got bought out by Verizon. Since the switch my Alltel phone is not doing the best, yes I have updated and such.So I am just wanting to switch to a Verizon (NYSE: VZ) phone. But someone told me that I couldn't since I am still under Alltel. A rep told me that on Oct. 18 I become fully Verizon. So I was just wondering if it is possible to switch to Verizon phone without using a Verizon plan. I was just planning on buying the enV touch on Ebay . So please help me out here Thank you much
