Alltel Text messaging problem?!

so I can send text messages but they reply and i get nothing back. Alltel said its glitch and should be fixed fairly soon, i called them like 2 days ago, still not fixed, then i heard it wont be fixed for a month. is there anyway i can get out of my contract without going against my credit because of this problem? will i have to pay this months bill if im not using it, cause i dont talk on my phone, i dont use any minutes. soo what can i do?
