Can I change my service provide to like alltel, if I have a cricket phone?

I bought a cricket phone, but moved out of the coverage area. My phone wasn't cheap either, and there is so place in the cell for a sim card. So are there any other cell phone companys that i can use my cricket phone with, like team mobile, alltel, Verizon (NYSE: VZ) wireless?
