i have a alltel phone so if i buy a verizon phone can i keep my same number and plan?

You should be able to. I know that they transferred over and I still have the same number and plan, you can use a alltel phone on a Verizon (NYSE: VZ) contract. I just got my phone stole on the 29th so I know you can keep the same number with a alltel phone. You can because it only uses the serial number in the back, to activate. Alltel and verizon phones are the best because when they get stoled they can't use it because the numbers will say it has been stolen, and they'll go to jail, for possession of stolen property.
