Alltel service problem?

Okay now, I've had alltel service since 2002. 4 months ago I move to the Dallas area and don't get reliable service at all, even though they are telling me that I do..Well, on top of all this they can't give me a local number. The "local" number they want to give me is a Tyler texas number which IS NOT local. I've looked up the contract and there really isn't alot in there that I can go with. I know I'm probably screwed with Alltel. I have another year left on my contract but doesn't this seem kinda shady to anyone else/ Or am I just wasting my time??

I had this same problem with Suncom when I moved to an are with no signal! They told me they could not do anything about it because where I moved had service in which it did not. If alltel is saying you have coverage then they won't do anything to help you and that's just the way some carriers are. They feel like if you sign a contract with them then it's not their fault/problem if you move to an area where your signal is weak. Why did they say they can't give you a local number???? there has to be a reason why and you should demand they explain it to you.
