Default which is best for prepay alltel or verizon?
i don't want t mobile, virgin mobile, suncom, sprint, cingular or any others because they don't work in my area, only alltel and verizon, so which one is the best

Alltel has more options but Verizon (NYSE: VZ) has better service. I would choose alltel.

Check out Page Plus, it works on Verizon (NYSE: VZ) network and is cheaper than Verizon..they even have an unlimited anytime plan.

As far as I can tell Prepay plans are pretty similar, and they all pretty much rip you off. If you want to use your phone more than just for emergencies I'd suggest going with a monthly plan, probably Verizon (NYSE: VZ) though I have had ridiculous experiences with both.

If it IS just an emergency phone, then verizon has a larger network, so you would get more calls for free I suppose
