if verizon buys out alltel,will their(alltel) plans eventually become the same?

like,i hear that alltel has unlimited text to any carrier for like $10 (or i think thats how the commercials go) and i was wondering,if Verizon (NYSE: VZ) does buy them,how long would it take the plans to change or whatnot?
