Alltel Service Question

have ALLTEL as a service provider and Im wondering willl the UNLOCKED Motorola RIZR Z8 work with ALLTEL. They say the RIZR is a GSM network phone and ALLTEL is a CDMA network phone. But if the RIZR's bandwith (GSM 850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900 / UMTS 2100) is the same as ALLTEL's (tri-mode (800 AMPS, 800 CDMA, 1900 CDMA) or dual band (800 CDMA, 1900 CDMA), will the be compatible??

It still won't be compatible, the "language" of GSM and CDMA is different. You need to specifically look for CDMA phones.
