The Sony Ericsson operates with a technology called GSM, which is completely incompatible with the CDMA technology that the Alltel system uses. I'm afraid that you won't be able to use this phone with Alltel.
However, Walmart has inexpensive phones for Alltel U Prepaid that are meant for prepaid, but can be activated no problem with regular family plans (just don't actually activate it under prepaid), if you can't find any other source of phones.
(I don't work for Walmart; it's just an easy suggestion to try.)

But we have a family plan with Alltel already,so I need to continue with that plan.
So,is this possible?
And if so,please give me instructions on how to.

Can I switch the service if it is unlocked? |
