...lot of neat touch screen phones.? I did hear of the merge that Alltel will be having with Verizon (NYSE: VZ) and i've seen a few nice touchscreen phones with verizon i.e the Voyager,samsung glide,and the exception to the touchscreen the Moto Q9c,if i were to get those phones,let's say locked/unlocked could i use it with alltel service until the merge is complete??Anyone who may have the answer,plz

Have you looked at the HTC 6800 I have that phone with alltel and its great. It's just like a computer you can do anything you do with a computer on it in fact you can use it as a modem for a laptop that's what i use to get on line with my laptop. And not only is it touch screen it has a full pull out keyboard. So if I were you I would go with it because it tops all those phones you have thought about. I am a ongoing HTC phone owner will never go to another phone again.

No, you can't use them just yet. You cannot "unlock" a CDMA phone which both alltel and Verizon (NYSE: VZ) use.
