how is the alltel prepaid plan going to work when verizon buys alltel?

well i want to buy a phone from alltel but...
1. will it work with Verizon (NYSE: VZ) when they buy alltel?
2.are all the alltel phones going to be discontinued?
3. will verizon get prepaid?
i am so confused... is there an article or something where i can read about it? HELPPP!!

Im not 100% sure on any of these things, but what I heard was that Alltel phones will still work, because there are sooo many people that do have Alltel and don't want to pay to switch over and get a new phone and stuff. But noone really knows a whole lot about it, because they are trying to keep everything hush-hush.. = / I wonder the same things to though because im getting a new phone, and i don't want to spend the money for it now just to have to do it again soon...
