Have the ipod touch 2g should i get the iphone 3g s?

I have the ipod touch 2g 8gb. and i was thinking about getting an iphone 3g s because i can upgrade my 2 year contract and my phone doesn't work right now so i need a new phone bad so i was thinking about the iphone 3g S i want it to be different from the ipod touch. i like that it has internet everywhere because where i live the only wifi that i can connect to is in my house. So i was thinking if i should get the iphone 3g s and sell the ipod touch 2g what should i do??
