A few questions about the iPhone?

I am considering buying an iPhone. I read some reviews but almost all of them keep saying the good things. I want to know the bad things about it. Those are the important things that can make me buy or not buy an iPhone.
1) Is there a way to copy music into the phone without using iTunes? I know that with iTunes you have to buy the music from apple. But I already have music in my PC. I don't want to buy it again.
2) What conectivity functions does it have? EDGE? GPRS? I live in Europe, Romania, and here there aren't so many ways to connect to the internet through a phone.
3) I heard you can't add ringtones. Can I replace the ringtones in the phone with others?
4) Other bad things about it? Like the battery... i know you have to send it to Apple (NSDQ: AAPL) after a while so they will replace it.

With iTunes, you DON'T have to buy it from Apple. If you have the CD, or even the mp3 file somewhere, you can simply put that into your iTunes. (Using iTunes on your PC would make much more sense than any other music player anyway.)
And then you can of course use any ringtone you like. The great thing about Apple (NSDQ: AAPL) products is the possibility to change them to suit your own preferences.

itunes is the only way to get music on it. i dont buy my music from itunes but i still get them on my iphone.

you can add ringtones for free using garageband.
