 Does anyone have an iPhone on a GoPhone plan? Do you have the "transaction... ...alert" bug? I'm considering buying an iPhone an iPhone for testing at work. I don't want to commit to a contract, so I was going to use it with a GoPhone account (and according to one of my friends at an AT&T retail store that is perfectly acceptable). But after an afternoon of sniffing around - I noticed a LOT of complaints regarding the frequency of transaction alerts ("...the last transaction cost 0.00 USD...") making the iPhone almost unusable. From what I've gathered, at one time the Transaction Alert was appearing every time the device transfered or received data of any kind (and evidently, with the default "heartbeat" that was once every 7-10 minutes while it was idling). If this only occurs after phone calls, then thats fine. Most of the posts were dated Summer 2007 - so I was wondering if anyone knows whether or not AT&T, Apple, or any 3rd party app's have fixed this issue.  |
