Default Can I still buy a 1st gen IPhone without data plan?
I know that the new 3G Iphone has a more expensive data plan and that you have to purchase it along with the phone. But I know that since Nov. customers with the 1st Gen Iphone could cancel their data plan. If I went out an bought a 1st Gen today, could I still do that?

According to AT&T customer service, you're required to carry a Data Plan for any iPhone - regardless of the version.
