Default iPhone questions (outlook compatibility, etc.)?

I just have a bunch of questions about the iPhone:

1) Are there applications that allow you to cut and paste?

2) Can the iPhone handle complex repeating tasks that are in your Outlook calendar (e.g. tasks that repeat every other Monday, every last day of the month) and if not, are the applications that allow it to do this?

3) How easy is it to enter in calendar appointments compared to Blackberries or Treos? From playing with the iPhone briefly, it seems pretty complex to enter an appointment (you seem to have to click on a lot of stuff)

4) There are four main parts to Outlook that I use: The Calendar, Contacts, Notes (also called 'Memos') and Tasks. Will all of these synch with an iPhone? I think I heard that the Notes/Memos part and maybe even the Tasks part do not synch with the iPhone – if they don’t, are there applications that allow these to synch?

5) If I get the iPhone but do not sign up for a data plan that gives me web access, will I still be able to access the web whenever I am in a hotspot? (I live in Toronto, Canada and will sign up with Rogers (NYSE: RCI) or Fido).

6) I have a Palm (NSDQ: PALM) Treo and use the "Words to Go" program to synch some Word documents to the phone from my computer. Is there any way with an iPhone to do something like this? I don't even care for the ability to edit the documents so that the changes synch between the phone and computer - I really just want to be able to somehow move some documents from my computer to my iPhone so that I can look them over whenever I want.

7) Does the iPhone synch wirelessly with a computer (e.g. with Outlook)?

Thanks for any info.
