 Can the iPhone 3G work on an iPhone 2G's data network ($20 for data plan + 200 text)? I had a regular iPhone and was paying $59.99 a month for my service ($39.99 for 450 minutes from AT&T and $20 for unlimited data and 200 text messages from apple). My iPhone got stolen and I'm looking to get a new one. I wouldn't mind paying $100 for a refurbished iPhone 3G, but I don't want to have to pay $30 for a data plan plus $5 for 200 text messages ($74.99 a month instead of my current $59.99). Is there a way to turn of the 3G feature and just pay for the old 2G plan I currently have?  |
