can a unlocked phone be turned into a boost mobile phone?

i want this unlocked phone but i want to get a boost plan and i was wondering if i could do that

because of the network technology u cannot use any phone on boost other than boost or nextel if u want to use the walkie talkie. boost does have the unlimited service that uses cdma so u could call and see if the phone u want is compatible with there unlimited service.
