which phone is better the new sidekick 09 or the blackberry curve 8520?

I have the sidekick 08 and i want to get a new phone and i was thinking the new sidekick so my sister went to ask and they said that they don't recommend it that is better if i get the blacberry that has no trakball. and i keep on seeing in the internet that the sidekick 09 is not that good.
