T-Mobl Help on Sidekick phone info or on suggesting on other phones?

I've been wanting to get a line with T-Mobile (NYSE: DT) and was thinking of getting the 09Sidekick but they're holding them because of the Network problems and I need to chose a phone soon.
I heard that the SK plays music but doesn't play them as ring-tones, you have to buy them. I have a lot of music and would definitely would like to use them! But it depends on what you use the SK in your lifestyle right?
I live within Chicago and all I would want on the phone is for the mp3 ring-tone feature, a decent camera (video recording a plus), ability to password lock the phone, removable memory, IM/TXT and to be a slider/filp phone for T-Mbl.

1) I'd like to learn the perks of the SK: Good things, the Flaws and If you Recommend it.

2) If not then which other phone can you recommend that would be more suited for me?

Well. I don't recomend a sidekick LX or a sidekick 3.
The buttons break easily. Sometimes the phone will randomly call people.
Other than that sidekicks are pretty good phones. And if you look around on the internet there is a way to get free custom ringtones.
