what phone should I buy? getting rid of sidekick?

i bought a sidekick a few months ago, and i really hate it. well, i hate the service.

the phone itself is a sidekick slide, I like the design and i really like qwerty phones.

however the service is horrible! half the time the internet wont work for no reason, and my texts wont send when I'm outside with nothing in the way! and since the data crash where my phone was for all intensive purposes, USELESS! which i still had to pay for the time anyway! now it has been worse! it will randomly cut service, and just now i was texting my friend, and service stopped and I got a message from T-Mobile (NYSE: DT) saying service is temporarily unavailable! it's been 20 minutes now!!!!!

i was thinking about the iphone since it seems popular, so something must be good about it.

it's just, i liked the unlimited texting for a dollar a day, cause plans are expensive! i have never had a plan i've always had prepaid....

help?
