north carolina cell phone users/sidekick users?

so, i'm planning on moving to winston-salem, nc in a year and a half. i have a Verizon (NYSE: VZ) plan right now. ill be off of it next year, and need to know, should i start over my verizon plan, or get t mobile. i want a sidekick. what serivcce is better?
