I am looking for a good cell phone plan with unlimited texting. T-mobile sidekick?

I've heard that you can get a T-Mobile (NYSE: DT) prepaid sidekick plan with unlimited texting for a dollar a day you use it. $30 a month sounds pretty good for that so i went to check it out but i'm slightly confused. do you have to get a sidekick phone to get that plan? or can you get any prepaid phone? if the latter, how do you set up which kind of plan you want? i was never asked to specify and it never told me. do you fix that when you activate your phone?

you should get the lg voyager from verizon, they show you what plans you can do and they will show you how to do everything so dont bother asking on this
