Some ppl keep telling me you can if you insert your SIM card and others tell me you can't put one on a cingular plan at all, what's the truth?

I am not sure if they even sell sidekicks unlocked, if they do then it's not worth the $400. I have a sidekick and it has terrible signal for IMing and rediculously slow internet.

If it's unlocked, then yes. Otherwise, no. A Sidekick 2 is exclusively for T Mobile customers. There are unlocked Sidekick's available on the Internet, but I would not buy one if I were you.
