Google Talk, Yahoo Aim, Windows Live Messenger, Skype. Those are all chat softwares you can download and install on your smartphone. People are using that communication channel a lot more since the apparition of BlackBerry (NSDQ: RIMM) and Iphone. If you don't have these, you must get them. It is so much a good thing to know your always connected with your friends and co-workers. You will even pay less for your phone plan if you try using the chat on your illimited internet plan. This is really the 2009 way to communicate. Google Talk is a really good start. Light, simple and popular, it is perfect for phones. Go to Google (NSDQ: GOOG) from your phone browser and search for google talk. It will takes you directly to the mobile site. What are you guys using the most ?

Windows Live Messenger, Skype. And my friends are all using these two. Last time I wanted to use Google (NSDQ: GOOG) talk but most of them said it's troublesome to register a new user and add friends. They said Windows Live Messenger and Skype are enough and the spaces in their phones are precious.....

Yeah most certainly Live and skype are the one with the most users. I tried live on my BlackBerry (NSDQ: RIMM) and fund it used a lot of cpu. As for skype, with ISkoot, the only thing is that when I sign up on multiple platform at the same time, I receive messages at both places all the conversation long. With talk, I receive messages on both until I respond with one of the platform (laptop of blackberry). I find that a lot better. I like skype onthe blackberry for it's call feature thaugh. I personally have a business phone with an unlimited plan but I guess most user would find it a great feature to be able to place phone calls using your unlimited internet access instead of your limited minutes. Did you guys tried that ?
