Default Canceling Alltel Contract

My contract w/Alltel is up this month. DO I have to give a 30 days notice or such to cancel their service and join another carrier??

You can cancel your contract the day after it is over. I would double check with Alltel to be sure, but any time after it is over, you are no longer obligated to stay with them. You are free to port your number to a provider of your choice.

This is more of a general question, so I will leave it here.
