I've had my landline number since 1996...should I cancel and use only my cell phone?

I don't want to do something I'll be sorry for. I have a teenager in the home, also a preteen....

No regrets here, but I have a great cell phone plan.

One thing you may want to think about is not "how many minutes will I really use?" but "how many minutes do I really NEED to use?"
I think this differentiation is key.

It won't work for everybody, but for me it's wonderful. I reserve my long calls for evenings and weekends.

As a generalization, I think that we as a society now spend tons more time talking on the phone (ANY phone) these days than we did even a decade ago, but much of it is mindless chatter.
If one learns to use their time more wisely, including phone talk time, it gives us time to better focus on the task at hand as well as the people around us.

I'm all for quality over quantity, so I will never regret having eliminated my land line. I hardly used it anyways.
