What's the best simple smartphone?

I would like to be able to do simple things like mobile upload to Facebook, or post to Tumblr with a phone. However, I don't particularly want a full smartphone like the iPhone or BlackBerry (NSDQ: RIMM) (I don't want to constantly be tethered to email and the internet). I am an ATT customer. What is my best choice?
