Does anyone know why virgin mobile discontinued the kyocera slider sonic??

im kind of getting bored of this phone...but why did they discontinue it??...its a kind of good phone...im thinking of getting a new phone...either with Virgin Mobile (NYSE: VM) again or u.s.cellular...any reconmends?
