New Bluetooth headset/stereo for LG Dare

I Just bought the Plantronics Voyager 855 bluetooth headset/stereo. And i have been looking around and i seem to get the idea that the answering and making calls will work with the LG Dare but the bluetooth stereo option wont because the voyager 855 uses a newer version of bluetooth. If anyone has any idea please get back to me asap.
