you will always get a better deal on line. however, that lower price comes at a cost. you get no in person customer service. i will give you an example:
i own a cell phone store. on-line sales direct from the manufacturer or service provider are killing my business. when a customer comes into my store with a problem related to a phone that i sold them i do everything i can to resolve the problem and make the customer leave happy.
when a customer comes into my store with a problem with a phone that they bought on-line i get so infuriated because they are wasting my time and i am not making any money (nor did i ever make anything off of them). sometimes i help the person in hopes that i will gain them as a customer in the future, but most of the time i tell them if you bought the phone on-line you should write an email instead of coming into my store and wasting my time i know it is mean but it is things like this that add up to ruin my struggling business.
my advice to you is to shop around at privately owned cell phone stores instead of buying on-line. you will find that the deals will be very close to what you find on-line, but you will be much happier with your purchase if you actually talk to someone face to face. |
