why does my LG voyager keep freezing?

i had an Lg voyager before but that one broke because of water damage. my new one, ive had for about 2 months and it just started freezing when i use the qwerty keyboard. it would only let me use the touch screen. i would have to turn my phone off in order for it to unfreeze. now it freezing on the opening screen and won't even turn on. i don't want to make my parents get me a new phone since i would probably get into trouble since this one is only 2 months old. what can i do?

Move out of Alaska,, or, send it back, its only 2 months old, so still under Guarantee.

The phone would be under "warranty" during the first 12 months and not a "guarantee". There is a difference.
