LG shine phone, hacking phone?

I have LGshine phone planned with Telus (NYSE: TU) Mobility.
They set it so that I can send pictures and such on the phone to pc through bluetooth, but I can't receieve anything in to cellphone.
is there a way to hack the phone so that I can freely receive files in to the phone?
