Is there a way to Disable the Voice Command option completely on my LG

Versa Cell Phone? Every time I plug in my headphones the voice command menu pops up. I don't use voice command, and it interrupts my music listening all the time. Anyone know how to disable the voice command all together? or even whatever it is that triggers the menu popping up when I plug in my headphones?
