Samsung SCH-u700 "Gleam" or LG vx8700 "shine"?

I am going to buy a new phone pretty soon, but I am having trouble deciding which one to get. The Samsung SCH-u700 (Gleam) or the LG vx8700 (Shine). I was wondering if anyone had any opinions of these phones. Maybe some pros and cons. Which one do you think looks nicer? Which one works better? battery life? Durability?... etc. You don't have to have the phone to help. Thanks
