The LG Shine thread - information and links

There are a few different versions of the LG Shine. This is just some information to help anyone who might be confused about the different models.

LG CU720 Shine - Full phone specifications - Carried by AT&T, this is a quad band phone.

LG KE970 Shine - Full phone specifications - Unsure if it is carried by any provider, foreign or in the US. This is a tri-band phone.

LG KU970 Shine - Full phone specifications - Unsure if it is carried by any provider, foreign or in the US. This is a tri-band phone.

LG KE770 Shine - Full phone specifications - Unsure if it is carried by any provider, foreign or in the US. This is a tri-band phone, it is also a candybar style, it is a non slider.

These are all GSM phones, meaning that they will not work in the US with Verizon, Sprint, Alltel, US Cellular, MetroPCS, Cricket, Nextel, Boost or any other CDMA provider. They will work with T-Mobile, AT&T, Centennial or any other GSM network. If you are on AT&T, you will want the CU720, as it has the 850 band. The others will work, but your reception and/or call clarity may be affected. AT&T uses the 850 band in some areas, so if you use a phone without that band, you may have no reception at all.
