I am traveling to Brazil next week. Will the new Hybrids work from Brazil.?

I have used the older Nextel phones without any problems, but customer service cannot guarantee that the hybrids will work in out of the US. No one at customer service will give or confirm a solid answer. Please can someone confirm if they will or not. Thanks
