How do I sync a Bluetooth headset to my T-Mobile V3 Razr?

I already had a Motorola Razr V3 and a friend gave me a Bluetooth headset that she had been using with her T-Mobile Motorola V3 Razr. So I know this bluetooth can communicate with my Razr, I just don't know how to do it.
