Motorola KRZR alarms not working?

I got a KRZR three years ago. I cracked the screen, the cell provider insurance replaced it. Same when the battery and charging port both started having problems a year ago.

So, this current phone is a year old, but I've had two other KRZRs and no alarm problems with either one.

But, I'm having a problem now with my alarms sometimes just not going off -- I have checked to make sure it is set on an actual ringtone, the volume is up, it is turned on, etc. Yesterday I set it to go off at five random intervals throughout the day, just to test it -- and it only went off one of the five times.

Anyone else had this problem, or know if there's a fix for it? I guess I can live without them, but it's a hassle sometimes when I travel or need the alarm for another reason.
