Default Help with my new Verizon replacement phone? (Razr)?

I just got the Razr in today, and i was about to activate it, but it says i should let it charge 12 hours. Do I seriously need to do this? It says it might have problems, If i don't.

ummm u will have a low battery everytime someone gets a new phone its always gotta be charged

but i must tell u razors suck my sister had one and it started to over heat like it heated up to the point where she couldnt touch it.

than she went to pull the charger out of the wall but the metal part stayed in the socket and she couldnt get it out >_>

You should let it charge for 12 hrs the first time, but you're free to go ahead w/ the activation process while plugged in.

The 12 hr initial charge is to strech out the battery for capacity reasons. The memory effect found in older Ni-Cd packs are not apparent in Li packs, but it's suggested to fully charge/discharge your battery anyway.

yes you do i diddent and ever seince iv had problems with it like it will nley hold a charge for about an hour
