I have the Motorolla v3m razr phone with no sims or memory card. The providor I use says they do NOT sell or give the sims cards when you purchase the phone from them. I am not sure if getting a memory card would do just as well or if I need to find a SIM card first.

if you're with Verizon (NYSE: VZ) or Sprint (NYSE: S) or any other CDMA network provider company, then they don't use SIM cards, but the memory card is something different you can use it if your phone is capable, SIM cards are only used for companies who run on GSM network like AT&T and T-Mobile... hope that helped

The sim card works by providing you with a number. The memory card is for storing stuff on, hench the name MEMORY CARD. SIM, stands for Server Identification Module. A memory card will not work in the place of a sim card. Oh and welcome to the year 2008, where have you been for the last 10 years at least.
