| cingular wont be able to do anything. the lock on the phone is set up by t-mobile. You need to get your friend (the rightful owner) of the razr to call T-Mobile (NYSE: DT) and ask for the subsidy unlock code. I know there is a law in united states the requires all wireless companies to unlock the phone free of charge if the customer requests. If your friend's razr is not under a contract with t-mobile, then the will do it if it is then they will refuse to do so untill the contract expires. So i'd suggest you call t-mobile with your friend and tell them you are going to the UK for a week and you will like to use a UK sservice provider there, hence you need your phone unlocked so this can be done. cheers |
