Default Broken Verizon RAZR screen AT&T RAZR screen replacement.?

Ok my girlfriend broke the screen in her Verizon (NYSE: VZ) RAZR and I have a old AT&T RAZR both are V3's and the only noticeable different between the phones is the Verizon Razr's preview screen is slightly larger. Now Im wondering if I can swap the screen from my Razr to hers a local cell phone store said no cuz the internals are different which I don't by they are the same phone besides the sim card correct? I think they just want my money cuz he said he'd take the AT&T one as a trade for something else but she wants a razr he charges $80 for a freaking used razr exactly like what Id be trading in except for the overall carrier so we would be swapping phone companies but it would cost me $54 dollars and thats dumb. So does anyone know iff swapping the screens is possible and whats all involved in doing so? How hard is it and what tools are needed? Or better yet anyone have a good tutorial?

Thank you
actually its $80 total Id just be paying $54 because he'd give me $26 for the trade of the AT&T RAZR against a Verizon one which is dumb cuz he is gonna turn around and see the AT&T on for $80 just like the Verizon one soI don't get why he cant just swap it. And I dont get what firmware has to do with the screen thats basic device drivers which should be the same from RAZR to RAZR it doenst make sense to me that they Motorola (NYSE: MOT) would develop a different driver for each provider

Hey man,

The local guy wasn't lying to you- each company (att, verizon, sprint, etc) has there own hardware version of the phone. The firmware is also different as per each provider. Its not worth your time to break open each phone (your almost guaranteed to break something opening up a razor) just to find out it doesnt work. And $54 isnt that bad for a decent condition used phone believe it or not. YOu can also go on ebay and snag a decent one off there.
