subsidy password on t-mobile razr.?

me and my brother are swiching phones, and he has boost mobile and i have t-mobile, but the sim card fits into my razr but a thing comes up when you turn on the phone that says enter subsidy password. and we cant get it.
can anyone help. like at least tell us what it is or something.

All GSM devices (ones that take SIM cards) in the US are locked to the carrier they were manufactured for. All SIM unlock codes are tied to the particular device IMEI and are carrier specific. The request for that code would need to be made from the carrier that the phone was originally manufactured for (in your case you need to contact T-Mobile (NYSE: DT) for yours and Boost for his). Each carrier has their own guidelines as far as what requirements have to be met before that code will be given out. This is a free process.
