Could someone help me mod my KRZR cell phone?

I just got a new krzr yesterday fomr Telus (NYSE: TU) and I want to mod it so well I'll be able to use custom ring tones and such. I have a 2gb Micro SD card so I dont think memory is too much of a problem. I am not sure where to find the model number or anything, I am COMPLETELY new to this Krzr modding thing, please help.

O I found this mod but dont have a clue in how to get it to work, I dont want to kill my phone. http://www.modmymoto.com/forums/showthread.php?t=5849
