first....if you use the bluetooth your speed will incredibly slow. The data trnasfer rate for bluetooth is much slower than the GPRS connection on your phone. Now if you still want to do this you are going to have to do some research to find if there are any hotspots that have bluetooth internet capability (good luck with that one!). Most places only offer standard WIFI for the computers. Once you find one you just need to have your bluetooth function scan for the access point that allows you to connect. One of the reasons that I think you will have a problem is that bluetooth technology is designed to be short range, limited data amounts, and short lived (except the headsets). Most bluetooth enabled phones drop the connection after the file has been transferred. To get the connection back you have to reconneect (most of the phones are like this, not all). The bluetooth radio waves are also a problem for what you are looking for. Bluetooth is designed to work over shorter distances than WIFI. Most phones have a 33M distance for the connection and thats it. Hence the reason that bluetooth connections are considered PAN's Personal Area Networks |
