Default Found a phone, need to figure out who it belongs to?

I have found a telus/motorola 560 phone and would like to figure out whom it belongs to BUT.... it needs to be charged and I don't want to go and buy a charger for it if I don't need to. A friend of mine was telling me that there is a way to code in for a hidden battery that is in all phones for similar situations for this. Like I said, the phone does not stay on long enough to check for numbers and I believe it may be one of them 10-4 phones? Can anyone help me avoid buying a charger and tell me how to find out who it belongs to????????

If you take it to any cell phone store, they have in- store chargers that they can hook the phone into. As soon as they do, they can get the phone's number and owner in just a few minutes. They can also trace the owner down from the code # on the memory card that is in the phone.
It is not that difficult for them to do and they will not object to doing it for you.
The person owning the phone will definitely be greatful for your efforts and kindness.

You can always give it to me, if you can't find the owner

if u know who the carrier is (there will usually be an operator logo on the phone SOMEwhere.. Nextel sells that phone) you can call them with the serial number of the phone (nextel does not use sims). THey will contact the person that owns the phone, as they do require having a seperate home number for their records.
