I have an O2 (NYSE: TEF) mobile phone with an unlimited internet allowance and was considering trying my sim card in my o2 broadband dongle. Does anyone know if this will work or will it damage my sim?

There was a question similar to this a few days ago and the answer given was no. Something to do with not being compatible and different coding.

not sure about O2 (NYSE: TEF) but i'm on 3 and i put a 3 sim from my phone into my 3 dongle (the phone sim is pay monthly with 300 free minutes and unlimited texts) it allowed me to connect to the internet and charged me £4 for two web pages (a couple of minutes on internet) so beware if o2 works the same as 3 it may cost you alot of money, hope this helps
