Default When upgrading my mobile on an o2 contract, will i have to extend my contract?

I want to get a new phone, but i dont want to extend my contract, i know i can get a pay n go phone and stick my sim in, but i want to know how else i can upgrade

when you upgrade your mobile at the end of your 12/18-month contract, you are agreeing to renew that contract, hence you get your free mobile phone upgrade. you wont be able to cancel it shortly thereafter as you have agree to start a new contract again.

you can upgrade with the same sort of contract. they'll try and extend it to 18 months etc but just say no

Yes - your new contract will be for 12 months minimum.

yeah you'll need to sign a new contract. Only other way to get new phone with them is pay as u go or sim free which is pricey usually.

I threatened to go with Orange last yr and they gave me a fantastic deal - £15 for 500 texts and 75 mins. that was O2. you could try that
